Rosé on the rise

Rosé is on the rise and the quality of thr Harem Rosita will show you why.

Rosé on the rise. That’s definitely the message from France and there are signs of a rowing popularity in Australia too.

A study by the American Association of Wine Economists (AAWE) shows a considerable change in the wine drinking habits of the French. The past 30 years have seen a steady decline in reds while rosé has steadily risen in sales.

Domestic red wine sales dropped from around 8 million hectoliters produced in 1995 to around 4 million hectoliters in 2020. Rosé wine has seen a 93% increase in sales for the same time period, from around 1.5 million hectoliters to just under 3 million hectoliters.

Rosé sales are also on the increase in Australia.

With wines of the quality of Glug’s Harem Rosita Barossa Valley Rose (Grenache Mataro) 2022 that is no wonder. This is a serious wine with oodles of flavour. $21 a bottle.
