Glug is not in the wine payola business which makes us something of an exception in our industry. We do not pay for reviews on blogs or getting marks out of a 100 on some website or other and then pay again to put little stickers on our bottles. Once upon a time in the United States disc jockeys got jailed for accepting those kind of payments to plug somebody’s record.
Different strokes for different folks in the wine industry these days. But worthwhile being a bit cautious about all those gold, silver and bronze medals when making a purchase. In many cases they don’t mean much and some wine shows can be described as places where every wine that pays an entry fee will come away with a medal.
What we care about is how our customers judge Glug wines. But we admit that getting more ratings and comments from our loyal followers would help in attracting the new ones we need.

Terry Ryan – Really enjoying reading your musings. Finished a bottle of the Crayford Aglianico last night. Really enjoyed it. It was unlike any red I have ever had. Will be ordering more. Another wine I have been drinking is the Kalkudee Semillon. Really enjoyed my first bottle a few weeks back, then ordered some more, but the latest bottle disappointed. Got a bottle of the Phillip Schaffer Sparking in the fridge for Saturday night as I really liked it a couple of weeks ago.
