There are no ifs and buts with the 2018 Barossa Valley Shiraz. It’s our version of a no holds barred Barossan.
While we applaud makers of wines that are described as showing delicacy and finesse this wine is the direct opposite.
We call this Shiraz “the guardian of the Barossa” after the massive ‘stands of red gums’, many hundreds of years old, that are a distinctive feature of the South Australian landscape. Karrawirra was the term used by the original local Australians to describe them.
